Issues in Psychoanalytic Psychology
Issues in Psychoanalytic Psychology, the Journal of Washington Square Institute for Psychotherapy and Mental Health has been published continuously since 1975, and is currently under the editorship of Gene Guberman, MA, LP, NCPsyA. It is a refereed journal, indexed both in Psychological Abstracts and Psychoanalytic Abstracts. Although the journal publishes the transactions of all scientific meetings of the Institute, it accepts manuscripts from professionals not connected with the Institute. Contributions include original papers devoted to current perspectives on psychoanalytic theory, technique, case material and book reviews. National as well as international libraries are subscribers.
We welcome clinical and theoretical papers and commentary relevant to the field of mainstream Freudian psychoanalytic theory and practice. Manuscripts should adhere to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, Sixth Edition, and must be accompanied by an abstract and brief author bio. Email manuscripts as MS Word attachments to Gene Guberman, Editor, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Issues in Psychoanalytic Psychology Series
The editors wish to remind readers of our additional monograph series dedicated to such similar goals as those reflected in Issues in Psychoanalytic Psychology. Accordingly, we welcome manuscripts offering thought provoking discussion of those views held by both leading thinkers in today’s multi-dimensional psychoanalytic field of theory and practice and by “newcomers” to the field who wish to contribute their clinical experience and vision. Further, we also welcome manuscripts that examine the ongoing metapsychological debate among various schools of contemporary psychoanalysis, as well as topics within what might be called the philosophy of psychoanalysis. Please note that the cost of publication is to be paid for by any author selected by the editorial staff as one we wish to have represented and included in this monograph series.
Issues in Psychoanalytic Psychology, the journal of record of Washington Square Institute for Psychotherapy and Mental Health, is published annually by Washington Square Institute. Subscriptions are available in the amount of $28.00 per year and $48.00 for two years. Back issues, when available, are $18.00 each. Payment is by check or money order only, made out to Washington Square Institute.
Please submit one hard copy manuscript in MS Word to Gene Guberman, Editor, Washington Square Institute, 41-51 East 11th Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10003, and one electronic copy to email@example.com.
